What started as a weekly training program in November of 2024 turned into a 10U team that finished second place at the 2025 Texans NFL Flag Regionals. Being competitive isn't just for elite athletes! Competition in team sports builds valuable life skills that players use on and off the field for a lifetime!
The Marauders main objective is to spread the game of girl's flag football and build confidence in our players both on and off the field. We are going to train hard and put competitive teams on the field...and have fun doing it!

FAQ About the Meraki Marauders
Q: What practice commitment is needed for this team?
A: Meraki does not believe in sports specialization before age 14, and even then, encourages players to be well-rounded in multiple sports. There will be weekly team practices and additional skills training available to all Marauders. Train as much as your schedule allows!
Q: What will gameplay and travel look like?
A: The Marauders will be participating in the NFL 5v5 Flag Program with plans to play in the NFL Regional tournaments. In order to qualify for NFL Regionals, players will need to play in an NFL Flag league. We are still exploring our options but the league we choose will start in September or early October. We will also play in additional local tournaments when available.
Q: How are teams formed?
A: The Marauders program is open to all who want to participate and there won't be an "A" team or "B" team, but we want all players and teams to be competetive. Players will train with their appropriate age group and if there are enough players for multiple teams in that age group, they will be formed before competition. Meraki will place players on the team where they will get the best development.
Q: What is the cost of the Marauders Program?
A: The Marauders Fall program cost is $99/month from September through November, and this covers a weekly team training and weekly skills trainings...being 10-14 hours of available training per month. There will be additional fees for league play (usually between $150-$200), tournaments (usually $50), and uniforms/equipment (around $100-$150 including helmet). Meraki will look for sponsors when appropriate to defer some costs the best we can.
Q: Is there a boys' team?
A: As of now, the Meraki Marauders only have girl's teams, but we can direct you to great boys' flag programs.
